BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — A Wisner man cited for allegedly hunting deer illegally can blame social media.

Louisiana wildlife officials say the man was cited Thursday in Franklin Parish for allegedly taking a six-point buck without having required basic or big game hunting licenses. Agents said he also failed to comply with deer-tagging requirements.

The wildlife department said Friday that agents were alerted by anonymous complaints about a photo the man posted on his Facebook page. The photo showed him with the deer.

The man faces possible jail time and hundreds of dollars in fines and restitution costs.
