Days before their Monday night showdown, the Atlanta Falcons signed a former New Orleans Saint to their practice squad.

Davis Tull, who can play defensive end or outside linebacker depending on the defensive alignment, tried out for the Falcons yesterday.

Today, Atlanta signed him to their practice roster.

New Orleans drafted Tull in the fifth round of the 2015 draft out of Tennessee-Chattanooga where he was a four-time FCS All-American.

Tull played in the 2015 preseason, but suffered an injury during camp and was placed on injured reserve for his rookie season.

Entering 2016, Tull had a golden opportunity to earn a roster spot and playing time after starting DE/LB Hau'oli Kikaha tore his ACL in June.

However, Tull didn't impress the Saints enough in camp or preseason to even make the 53 man or the practice squad.

New Orleans (0-2) hosts their arch-rival, the Atlanta Falcons (1-1) this Monday night in New Orleans. Kickoff is set for 7:35.
