Fatal Camper Fire

A man in a camper trailer was the victim of a fatal fire. The State Fire Marshall is investigating after a fire in a camper trailer on Sawmill Highway took the life of Kyle Carlisle. The eight foot by 30 foot camper had no working smoke detector, and it was completely consumed by the fire. The cause of the fire has yet to be determined. Fire Marshall Butch Browning says they will be working with the St. Martin Parish Coroner to complete the investigation.
