Fatal Crash Claims Teenage Girl

A teenage girl died this morning after her car overturned several times on the 800 block of Kidder Road. Authorities say 17-year-old Ryan Whaley of Carencro was driving westbound on Kidder Road when she crossed the center line and went off the road on the left side. She then turned too far to the right causing her to skid back across the road where it left the road and began to roll, shooting her out of her car. Deputies say she did not appear to be wearing her seatbelt; no drugs are alcohol are suspected at this time. The crash is still under investigation.
