A Lake Charles man and a Sulphur man are dead after two separate crashes took their lives.

La. State Police say 52-year-old John A. Hebert of Lake Charles died in a single-vehicle crash around 2:00 a.m. Thursday morning when his truck ran off the right side of U.S. Highway 165 in Jefferson Davis Parish, struck a culvert and flipped end over end. Hebert was pronounced dead at the scene. His passenger, 50-year-old Lisa Ann Hebert, was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.

19-year-old David Guidry of Sulphur is dead after Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's deputies say his motorcycle crashed into a tractor that was turning into a driveway. Authorities say David Guidry was likely speeding when he tried to pass the tractor but ended up slamming into it.
