Fatal Train Crash In Estherwood

Acadia Parish Sheriff's officials are investigating a train crash in Estherwood today.  One person was killed and another transported to Lourdes Hospital in Lafayette after their Ford Ranger collided with a D.N.S.S. train at highway 90.  Sheriff's spokeswoman Maxine Trahan tells KPEL News the injured victim is in stable condition.  The exact cause of the crash is under investigation.
