BP claims fund administrator Ken Feinberg admits the oil spill claims process is not perfect, but its working as intended. Feinberg says the criticism is constructive and real, but they are doing something right as nearly four-billion dollars has been paid to claimants. However, oil spill victims have complained to the media and federal government that they the Gulf Coast Claims Facility has not compensated them enough or not at all. But Feinberg says the U.S. Coast Guard's independent claims review has not modified any of their findings. Feinberg says over 100,000 applications remain unprocessed, but they hope those will be resolved by the end of the year. The Washington attorney says he's proud to say they've paid nearly four-billion dollars to fishermen, shrimpers, and oyster harvesters that have been impacted.
