Opening Ceremonies for this year's Festival International will begin at 7:15 at Scene International Stabil Drill Stage at the corner of Garfiled and Taylor Streets.  This year's festival boasts multiple musical groups from Acadiana, Louisiana and across the globe.  The festival will offer a variety of food vendors along with more than 90 different arts and crafts booths.

Tonight's schedule on the Scene International Stage includes:

  • 6:00 p.m. Nimbaya Women Drummers
  • 7:15 p.m. Opening Ceremonies
  • 8:00 p.m. Fatoumata Diawara (Mali-world Afrobeat)
  • 9:45 p.m. Trombone Shorty and Orleans Avenue ( Louisiana-Brass/Funk)

Tonight's schedule also includes several acts at the Scene Fais Do Do Lafayette General stage at the corner of Jefferson and Convent Streets:

  • 6:30 p.m. Brass Bed (Louisiana-Indie/Psychedelia/Pop)
  • 7:45 p.m. Rob Curto and Forro Matuto ( Brazil-Forro)
  • 9:00 p.m. Oliver Mtukudzi and the Black Spirits (Zimbabwe-Tuku Music)

There is a free shuttle every 15 minutes to the downtown Lafayette area if you park at Cajun Filed.  It presented by the Southern Super Chevy Dealer Association and made possible by a partnership with Lafayette Consolidated Government and the University of Louisiana Lafayette.
