7 teams from the Acadiana area are ranked in the latest LSWA high school football polls, the final ones of 2017, which were released on Tuesday morning.

One local team is even listed at the very top of their respective poll.

In Class 5A, Acadiana is ranked 5th, while St. Thomas More is ranked 3rd in the 4A poll.

In Class 3A, Church Point cracks the poll at #10 this week.

In the Class 2A poll, Notre Dame is the top-ranked school, with Catholic High-New Iberia right behind at #2.

Finally, in the Class A poll, Lafayette Christian is #7, while Opelousas Catholic is 8th.
