Final Suspect Arrested In Robbery And Beating Near Ville Platte

Dustin Fontenot, the last of four suspects in a beating and robbery near Ville Platte, has been taken into custody.

According to our news partners at KATC, investigators say Fontenot was one of four suspects who attacked a man at a convenience store and stole $1500 from him on Wednesday of last week. Detectives say Fontenot was arrested in Acadia Parish, but has since been transferred to the Evangeline Parish Jail.

All the suspects are charged with second-degree robbery and attempted second-degree murder.
