Fire Damages Family’s Home

A dryer left on in the laundry room while a mom went to pick up her children causes a house fire on Pinhook Road late last night. Alton Trahan with the Lafayette Fire Department says the dryer was working improperly because of built-up lint and other combustible items. The fire and smoke damaged all their belongings, including school uniforms and supplies.
