Glenn Fleming of Acadiana Gunworks joined 'Mornings With Ken and Bernie' today and discussed a number of gun related issues on Firearms Friday.

Starting with a safety tip as usual Fleming said,

Know what you're shooting.  If you don't think you can handle the gun don't shoot it.  Recently a woman from South America was visiting family in Missouri when they went to a range.  Someone handed her a Smith & Wesson .500 revolver.  After firing one shot from the gun she lost her grip, the gun got turned around and she accidentally fired another shot which hit her in the head and killed her.

An election was held recently that brought joy to many in the gun world.  According to Fleming,

Nearly two dozen members of Michael Bloomberg's 'Mayors Against Illegal Guns' lost reelection bids delivering another blow to the anti-gun group that has been losing members at a rapid pace for more than a year.  In addition, 69 'Mayors Against Illegal Guns' members chose to retire and not seek reelection.

Some gun manufacturers have been leaving states with newer, stricter gun control laws.  When asked if he any updates on these moves Fleming replied,

The Ithaca gun company is going to open a new facility in South Carolina.  There has been a trend lately of gun companies going to gun friendly states like South Carolina.  This proves that if you are a gun friendly state you can have a lot of business coming to your state based on that alone.
