Glenn Fleming of Acadiana Gun Works joined 'Mornings With Ken and Bernie' today for another edition of 'Firearms Friday'.  Today Glenn discussed among other things:

  • Reloading ammo
  • Semi-automatic hunting rifles
  • Maryland's new gun control laws
  • President Obama's executive actions
  • Mexican drug violence
  • Piers Morgan
  • Disturbing student questionnaires in California

Starting our discussion with a safety tip as usual we asked about reloading ammo and Fleming said,

I don't reload.  I find I don't have the patience for it or the attention to detail to keep me from blowing myself up...Always remember, powder is explosive and the slightest spark can set it off.

We asked Fleming to explain the difference between assault rifles and modern sporting rifles and according to Glenn,

AR's and AK's are what I refer to as modern sporting rifles.  Unlike the media, no offense, which refers to them as assault rifles...They are not assault rifles.  Assault rifles by definition are fully automatic and AR-15's and standard AK-47 that are sold in stores, neither are full auto.

As usual Fleming also had an update on how new stricter gun laws are effecting the economy in some states.

Due to Maryland's strict new gun control laws Beretta has decided to start moving part of their operations out of the state.  They are starting to move to Tennessee...Many states are luring firearm manufacturers with tax incentives.
