First Full Weekend Of Football Across The Country

Steve Peloquin from our sister station ESPN 1420 visited 'Mornings With Ken and Bernie' today to discuss football across Acadiana, the state and the country.

According to Peloquin,

This is what I call a full football schedule.  Last week the colleges began, we had high school jamboree action but no full high school games, we didn't have NFL action...but I consider this a perfect football weekend.  High school football tonight, college football tomorrow and NFL Sunday.  It's what I call the first 'true football' weekend.

We asked Steve to give us his assessment of tomorrow's match up between UL and Kansas State.

UL will be facing a Kansas State team that lost last week so both teams are 0-1. I think it's going to be a good  game.  I think the Cajuns will play better.  I certainly expect Kansas State to play better.  Kansas State won the big 12 Championship last year.

When asked about the LSU/UAB match-up tomorrow night Peloquin said,

UAB is a decent team but I don't think they're going to go to Tiger Stadium and beat LSU.

Peloquin thinks Sunday will be a great day for Saints fans.

The Saints will be hosting the Atlanta Falcons in what I think is one of the premier games of the week in the NFL.  These are two teams fighting for the division championship.  A big traditional rivalry.
