Louisiana's First Lady says thank you to a former U.S. First Lady.

Laura Bush, through her foundation for America's Libraries, created the Gulf Coast School Library Recovery Initiative in 2006 to aid hurricane-affected school libraries. Since the initiative's inception, the foundation has donated over $6.3 million in grants to rebuild book collections in over 116 Gulf Coast school libraries, 19 of which are in Louisiana.

Supriya Jindal's appreciation for Mrs. Bush's efforts comes as the former First Lady announces the 2012 Foundation for America's Libraries Gulf Coast Recovery Grants.
