Five juveniles were arrested today for their roles in the burglary of a Lafayette Parish residence.

Lafayette Parish Sheriff's spokesperson John Mowell said deputies responded to an armed robbery in-progress call in the 300 block of Latin Circle in Ossun.

Deputies discovered one of the juveniles exiting the home through one of the home's windows. Following a foot pursuit, the armed juvenile was apprehended.

He was armed with a semi-automatic .45-caliber handgun that was reported stolen from another burglary that occurred in the 100 block of Crooked Creek in the same neighborhood.

Four other juveniles were discovered in the home. One was identified as 17-year-old Jeremy Comeaux.

Comeaux and three of the remaining juveniles were taken into custody
and are being charged with criminal trespassing. The other juvenile is being charged with possession of a firearm by a juvenile, possession of stolen property, criminal trespassing and resisting arrest.
