Flood Warning Cancelled For Various Parts Of State

The National Weather Service has cancelled a flood warning for the Mississippi River at New Orleans and other areas downriver. The weather service on Friday lifted the flood warning for Orleans, Jefferson, Plaquemines, and St. Bernard parishes, but it remains in effect for areas farther upriver, including Baton Rouge. The river is expected to remain at a stage of 16 point eight feet in New Orleans through Memorial Day and drop to 16 point seven feet on Tuesday.
