This weekend was good for the college circuit of Louisiana football, but not so much on the national side of things. The New Orleans Saints fall to 0-4 for the season after losing to the Green Bay Packers 28-27 last night. The game was riddled with penalties, some in favor of the Saints and some against, with one primary penalty that forced a re-kick of a would-have-been game winning field goal by Garrett Hartley. Some of the Who Dat nation is even stating that they should bring out the paper bags again because the Saints seem to be reverting back to the Aints. The Saints play the Chargers next week, kickoff at 7:20. Be sure to listen on 97.3 The Dawg.

The UL Ragin Cajuns, on the other hand, had an absolutely amazing game that showed off it's offense like no other game they've played this season. The game ended with a score of 48-20 with the Cajuns scoring 31 of those points before the half. The game looked great throughout, but one bad incident came from the game, Blaine Gautier ended up with a broken hand and will likely be out for the next 6-8 weeks. The next game is this Saturday at home against Tulane with kickoff at 4:00 PM. Be sure to listen on HOT 107.9 FM or ESPN 1420 AM.

The LSU Tigers came away with another win, but not in the style that they might have hoped. The team was struggling with finding a good tempo and ended up making mistakes throughout the game. Five fumbles and plenty of penalties hampered the Tigers but they came up with the win after scoring some big plays and ending it with a final score of 38-22. The next game is this coming Saturday at 2:30 against the Florida Gators.
