Richard Fabacher, a former Sulphur firefighter, has pleaded not guilty to child pornography and drug possession charges. Fabacher was not in court Monday, but his attorney Shane Hinch entered the plea on his behalf.

Fabacher was arrested in July of 2011 after state police say they found the illegal images on his home computer, as well as the drugs inside his house.

Fabacher worked with the Sulphur Fire Department for seven years. He was a reserve deputy with the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office as well.

The case has been assigned to state District Judge Clayton Davis.
