Former Confederate Monument Contractor’s Car Destroyed
It appears David Mahler may have run afoul of people on both sides of the controversy over Confederate monuments in New Orleans.
His company, H&O Investments, was contracted to remove the controversial monuments. They backed out of the contract after receiving death threats, according to a report from WAFB.
Mahler was awakened by a 1 am phone call on Tuesday. The caller said Mahler's $200,000 Lamborghini had been set ablaze. The vehicle was a total loss.
This begs the question, was this done because he took the job, or because he backed out?
