Former Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon Dies
JERUSALEM (AP) — Israeli president Shimon Peres says Israel has lost "a brave soldier and a daring leader who loved his nation."
Peres calls Ariel Sharon "one of Israel's great protectors and most important architects."
Sharon died Saturday at age 85, eight years after a debilitating stroke put him into a coma.
