The Jacksonville Jaguars are giving a former LSU player another NFL opportunity.

The team signed former LSU defensive back Dwayne Thomas recently.

Thomas, who turns 24 next week, signed with the New England Patriots as an undrafted free agent following the 2017 Draft but was waived Aug. 11.

A product of O. Perry Walker High School in New Orleans, Thomas played in 29 games at LSU, including nine starts, at both cornerback and safety.

The 6-foot, 200-pound Thomas accumulated 68 tackles, including 9.5 for loss and 4.5 sacks during his LSU career, to go along with one interception.

Thomas joins his former LSU teammate, Leonard Fournette, in Jacksonville.
