Former Mermentau Police Chief Booked On Drug Charges

Former Mermentau Police Chief Amber DuBois Langlinais was arrested Wednesday morning for alleged drug charges.

According to our news partner KATC, her arrest is part of an ongoing investigation into drug activity at a residence in the 900 block of Grace Street in Jennings.

The 26-year-old Langlinais was booked into the Jeff Davis Parish jail for multiple drug charges including: possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana and possession of the prescription drugs hydrocodone and soma.

Bail has not yet been set.
