Former Texas Rangers pitcher John Wetteland was arrested in Denton County yesterday for sexual abuse of a child under the age of 14. Wetteland is 52 years old and played for the Los Angeles Dodgers, Montreal Expos, New York Yankees, and Texas Rangers during his 12 years in the MLB. He was a 3-time all-star who won the World Series back in 1996 with the NY Yankees. Wetteland played for the Texas Rangers from 97-00 and is a current member of the Rangers Hall of Fame.

The ex-pitcher was released on a $25,000 bond shortly after being booked in the Denton County Jail.  The case is still being investigated by the Denton County sheriff's department so not many details have been released yet.
