Foundation Seeks Up-And-Coming Black Writers For Gaines Award

Since 2007, the Ernest J. Gaines Award for Literary Excellence has recognized up-and-coming African American fiction writers.

The Baton Rouge Area Foundation awards recipients $10,000 to honor Gaines, the nationally acclaimed fiction writer born in Louisiana.
