This Saturday, just after midnight, a Louisiana State Trooper stopped 43-year-old Jeffery Benoit after he watched him drive erratically on highway 385, just south of McNeese Street in Lake Charles.

During the stop, troopers noticed that he was impaired and he was brought to the local station for a breath test. Benoit wouldn't cooperate and didn't take the test, so a "no refusal" warrant was used and he was taken to a local hospital for blood testing.

The sample was sent to the Louisiana State Police Crime Lab.

In the meantime, Benoit was arrested for his fourth DWI offense, failure to use a turn signal and failure to wear a seat belt. He was already on parole for previous DWI offense and had his bond set at $151,500.
