Franklin Man Busted For Not Registering As Sex Offender

St. Mary Parish authorities say they have arrested a Franklin man for failing to register as a sex offender and notify his neighbors as is required by law.

Deputies say 27-year-old Quinton D. Robinson was convicted in 2006 for carnal knowledge of a juvenile.

During a routine sex offender compliance check, a detective learned that Robinson had moved from his Franklin address without notifying law enforcement.

After learning of the warrant for his arrest, Robinson turned himself into the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office.

Deputies then transferred Robinson to the St. Mary Parish jail for booking and incarceration.

He was later released after posting a $5,000 bond.
