Franklin Man Sentenced In Child Pornography Case
LAFAYETTE, La. (AP) — A federal judge has sentenced a 37-year-old Franklin man to 78 months in prison for having on his computer photos and videos of children having sex.
U.S. Attorney Stephanie Finley says Tommie Joseph Beason also was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Richard Haik on Wednesday to five years' supervised release.
Finley said in a news release that police who searched Beason's home June 3, 2014, found 230 images and 88 videos of child pornography on the defendant's computer hard drive.
Beason pleaded guilty Oct. 27 to one count of possession of child pornography in a case investigated by U.S. Homeland Security agents and state police.
