St. Mary Parish Sheriff's officials say a Franklin woman who went to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center to visit someone in jail was then put there.

A jailer at the facility says that 34-year-old Melissa Badeaux was arrested after they found out she was wanted for unauthorized use of an access card.  The woman had just signed into visit someone there.

Officials say Badeaux's charges come from a warrant that was issued after someone filed a complaint in June that Badeaux had used their bank card.

The detective on the case says Badeaux was given the card for safe keeping by someone getting treatment at the medical facility.

The person filed a complaint when their account was overdrawn, and police say surveillance video shows Badeaux taking money out of the account at an area bank.
