Free Comic Book Day Is This Saturday, May 2, 2015!

This year’s Free Comic Book Day is this Saturday, May 2. Both comic shops in Lafayette are participating this year, Acadiana Comics and Collectibles and And Books II.

Acadiana Comics and Collectibles is located at 2506 Johnston (south of Cajun Dome Boulevard) and the Free Comic Book Day festivities will be held from 11 AM to 3 PM. Acadiana Comics and Collectibles offers a large selection of current and older comics as well as collections and collectibles. Just look for the large sign that reads “COMICS” attached to the awning of the shopping center and you’ll find Acadiana Comics and Collectibles. I’ve been a long-time customer (since age twelve–27 years!) and you won’t meet nicer people than the owners, Mrs. Teresa Moran and her husband, Jerry.

And Books II is located at 3315 Johnston. The store is easy to spot as it has a large mural of Captain America on the side of the building. And Books II also has a large selection of new and older comics and related collectibles and will offer free comics during regular store hours on Saturday from 10 AM - 7 PM.
