Free Application for Federal Student Aid, that's what FAFSA stands for and it's going to be a life-saver for many Louisiana college students and their families.

With the great mess, our legislature has created with the TOPS program. FAFSA just might be the difference between a higher education and a higher education with more than a lifetime worth of debt.

I can tell you from experience the completion of FAFSA forms is not easy. It makes filing your income tax feel like painting by numbers. The forms are tedious and time-consuming but there is help for you, free help available Sunday afternoon, February 12th from 1:30 until 4 at 15 different location across the state.

This day has been designated as Louisiana College Goal Sunday. It is suggested that you pre-register and you may do that here. 

The 15 sites are located in every region of the state at select community colleges, technical schools, and universities. Those locations include LSU Alexandria, Baton Rouge Community College, Southern University, Bossier Parish Community College, SLU, ULL, SOWELA, Louisiana Delta Community College, Delgado Community College Mid City Campus, Dillard University, Southern University New Orleans, Xavier University, Fletcher Technical Community College, LSU Shreveport, Southern University Shreveport
