An unidentified 30-year-old Lafayette man is in an area hospital after getting shot in the calf.

Lafayette Police say it happened around 9:00 a.m. Friday morning at the 100 block of Town Homes Drive. LPD spokesperson Corporal Paul Mouton says the victim told police he began arguing with the suspect after the suspect arrived at the home. The victim told police the suspect then took out a handgun and fired 4 to 5 shots at the victim, hitting him in the calf. The suspect then got away in a 4-door green vehicle.

The victim's injury is non-life threatening.
