Garbage Routes And Recycling Collection Will Happen On Good Friday

Most of you may be off of work on Good Friday, but not the folks with garbage and recycling collection.

Allied Waste and the Recycling Foundation will run their regularly scheduled garbage and recycling routes in Lafayette Parish and surrounding parishes on Good Friday. Only the compost facility on Dugas Road will be closed until the following Monday.

The entire week following Easter, all customers served by Allied Waste in Lafayette Parish may place excess garbage that does not fit in the automated garbage cart on the ground for collection. All excess garbage must be bagged and placed at least three feet away from the automated cart. Excess garbage should not be placed in boxes or in garbage cans other than the automated cart.

The Lafayette Consolidated Government Compost Facility at 400 Dugas Rd. will close on Good Friday, and will remain closed until Monday, April 1.
