Gas prices are hitting historic levels. Triple-A fuel analyst Don Redman says gas is unusually high for this time of year--it's normally at its cheapest right now.

The current statewide average is $3.27 a gallon, which is 4-cents more than a week ago. Redman says in January last year gas prices were below $3 a gallon, then they shot up around April/May about 26 percent. He says the concern for 2012 is that historically, gas prices go up from winter to spring. He says prices can rise by as much as 25%.
