George Jones Dead at Age 81

Sad, sad news to report -- George Jones has passed away at the age of 81.

The legendary singer was hospitalized on April 18 for a fever and irregular blood pressure, though the cause of death is not immediately known.

Of course, we will always remember George for his straight from the heart delivery and close-to-home lyrics that defined the music that he recorded.

George Jones was originally from Vidor, Texas and was a 1992 Country Music Hall of Fame inductee.

He was married four times and leaves behind his current wife Nancy who he has been married to since 1983. He also is survived by his four children.
