GM Wants Government Out – Treasury Department Says No

Reports are saying that General Motors has asked that the government sell its stake in the company.  But the Treasury Department has said that they don't want to sell and their reasoning, reportedly, is that they would have to post a multibillion dollar loss in an election year.

In the midst of this, President Obama said today that he wants to help Republicans and work together to lower the deficit.
