Google Offers Free Business Websites At Lafayette Event

Tomorrow Google will present a free website design event for Lafayette area businesses at the LITE Center.  Brian Fitzpatrick, Google's Engineering Manager joined 'Mornings With Ken and Bernie' today to discuss the event.

Fitzpatrick said 97% of Americans look online for local products and services but 64% of Louisiana businesses do not have a website.  In addition he said,

"Having a website is as vital as having a phone.  The Google 'Get Your Business Online' event will allow small businesses to get a free website as well as free tools, training and resources to help them succeed online."

The 'Louisiana Get Your Business Online' event will be held tomorrow at the LITE Center on Cajundome Boulevard.  Business owners who have not registered can still get the website, hosting for a year and a customized domain name for free at www.louisianagetonline.com.
