Governor Bobby Jindal has declared a state of emergency in preparation for landfall of Isaac on the gulf coast.  By the time the storm comes, it could be a Category 2 hurricane.

The Governor urged that people in low lying areas prepare and evacuate voluntarily. The current stormtrack as of 4pm, indicate that the storm will make landfall around the coast of Mississippi, though the cone of uncertainty could put it within Southeast Louisiana on Wednesday morning.

Five parishes have declared a state of emergency including Orleans, St. Bernard, Plaquemines, Jefferson and St. Charles.
