Governor Bobby Jindal

has issued an executive order directing flags at all state buildings to be flown at half mast today. This is in memory of two Department of Insurance investigators who were slain in Ville Platte two days ago. Kim Sledge and Rhett Jeansonne were shot and killed Tuesday as they attempted to gather information from Lavergne's Insurance. Jindal says the investigators' "dedicated service and ultimate sacrifice make it appropriate and fitting for the State of Louisiana to remember them and their families... and to honor their memory."
