A St. Martin Parish grand jury decided this week not to indict Breaux Bridge police Officer Travis Guillot after a shooting in December of 2012.

Officer Travis Guillot shot and killed Breaux Bridge teenager Daraneisha Harris last December as she was fleeing a fight.

Police say Harris drove into a pedestrian and a police unit before crashing her car into a ditch.

Chester Cedars, an assistant prosecutor with the St. Martin Parish District Attorney's Office says the grand jury reached its decision after the state Attorney General's Office put forth two days of evidence.

After the death of Harris, St. Martin Parish Prosecutors asked the Attorney General's Office to take over the case.
