Update: Both Green T. Lindon Elementary and Youngsville Middle School have been taken off of lockdown. However, authorities are still looking for Ashley Perkins.

25-year-old Ashley Perkins has escaped from the Youngsville Police Department, causing both Green T. Lindon Elementary and Youngsville Middle School to both be put under lockdown.

Captain Kip Judice with the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office says Perkins had been picked up on open warrants and was being held at the police station for processing when she ran out the station. The station is in the immediate vicinity of the two schools. Youngsville Police and Sheriff’s Deputies are currently looking for Perkins, who was picked up on non-violent crimes.
