Hammond Man Charged In Gambling Case
HAMMOND, La. (AP) — Federal prosecutors have charged a Hammond man in connection with a gambling investigation.
U.S. Attorney Jim Letten said in a news release that 56-year-old Frank G. Donewar is accused in a bill of information of transmission of wagering information and money laundering.
If convicted on both charges, Donewar could face up to 22 years in prison and $750,000 in fines.
It could not be determined whether Donewar has an attorney.
