Hang Up Police Call Leads Deputies To Attempted Murder Scene

Yesterday, around two in the afternoon, police responded to a hang up call from a home at 415 Hunting Rd. in Franklin Parish.

When police arrived, they found two people, injured, with cuts on their throats.The victims, a Mr. and Mrs. Vining, were transported to Teche Regional Medical Center.

After police conducted investigations, it was determined that the suspect behind the attacks was their son, Eric J. Vining.

Police found Vining and brought him to the jail for booking. He is being currently being charged with two counts of alleged attempted aggravated second degree murder. No bond has been set at this time.
