A Shreveport couple had planned to be married in Houston last weekend. Hurricane Harvey forced Erin Smith, and Jason Doyle to change their plans. Erin’s work schedule doesn’t include another¬† Saturday off for 3 months, so she was determined to get married Saturday. AP, reports, Erin called a bridal shop in Minden and purchased a new dress to replace the one that was already in Houston. The shop’s owner offered to arrange a ceremony in Minden. Erin bought the dress. Everything else was donated by businesses in the small north Louisiana town. Jason said, “It’s nice to know that people are going out of their way for this, because there are more serious things than this. For people to take this seriously for us is very humbling.”¬† Maybe love really does conquer all.
