Haughton High School Band Memorializes Accident Victim At Halftime Of Football Games

HAUGHTON, La. (AP) — A Bossier Parish youth who was killed in a traffic accident in mid-September will be memorialized every time the Haughton High School Band hits the football field at halftime this year.

The Haughton High Band is dedicating every halftime show to Matthew Kirkhart.

Kirkhart was in his first year at Haughton and was a member of the band.

Matthew's mother, Angie Morgan, told KSLA-TV in Shreveport that the band's hard work and dedication in putting on the show meant a lot to her.
