Healing House Martini Tour 2012 Rolls On

The fifth annual Healing House ABSOLUT Martini tour is in it's second week.  Today Janee' Broussard of Healing House and Courtney Vincent of Charley G's joined 'Mornings With Ken and Bernie' to discuss the eight week event.

Each Tuesday during the event the participating restaurants ask patrons to vote for their favorite ABSOLUT martini by tipping a dollar per martini consumed.  All tip proceeds to go to Healing House for Children.  At the end of the eight week campaign the Martinis 2012 tour will culminate in a gala event at the Lafayette Hilton.  Guests will get to sample all of the restaurant creations and vote on their favorites again by tipping generously.

According to Broussard the ABSOLUT martini event is not just about another South Louisiana party.  Broussard said,

"The proceeds from the event benefit local children and families that have experienced the death of a parent or sibling.  All services provided by healing House are completely free of charge and provided by volunteers."
