CHICAGO (AP) — Small businesses that want to shop for health insurance under the new health care law will have to do so through an agent, a broker or an insurance company for the next year.

The administration isn't going to launch an online insurance marketplace for those companies until next year, so that the focus can be on getting the HealthCare.gov website fully functioning.

Officials say the plan will allow small businesses to buy coverage, without slowing technical repairs to the hobbled federal site.

The marketplace was supposed to provide small businesses a new way to shop for coverage.
