There are losses.

And, there are losses.

This one hurts.  A lot.

The Denver Broncos blocked a PAT and returned it for two points with 90 seconds remaining and defeated the New Orleans Saints 25-23 at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.

Drew Brees hit Brandin Cooks with a 32 yard touchdown pass to tie the game.  But Wil Lutz extra point was blocked and returned for the two point conversion.

The Saints could not overcome four turnovers in the game; two interceptions by Drew Brees and two fumbles by rookie Mike Thomas.

Drew Brees was 20-29 for 303 yards and three touchdowns, two to Willie Sneed, the second of which gave the Saints a 17-10 lead in the third quarter.

But Denver tied the game on the next possession and got two Brandon McManus field goals in the fourth quarter to take a 23-17 lead with just over two minutes left, setting up the final sequence.

Travis Siemien completed 25 of 40 passes for 258 yards and two touchdowns.  He was intercepted twice and sacked six times.

The Saints are now 4-5 on the season.  Denver  is 7-3.
