Heavy Rains Associated With Tropical Storm Lee Pound South Louisiana
Tropical Storm Leeis dumping several inches across southern Louisiana as it moves closer to the state's coast.
Lee is currently southwest of Morgan City, moving north-northwest at seven miles per hour. The center of Lee is expected to reach land this
afternoon, along the central Louisiana coast. Lee's maximum sustained winds are at 50 miles per hour and its not expected to strengthen into a hurricane before making landfall. Governor Bobby Jindal says flooding is the major concern with this storm. Once Lee makes landfall its expected to slowly crawl towards the north, before eventually making a turn towards the northeast.
