The final defendant waiting for his sentencing in an aborted federal probe is trying to get federal records to try to show that the U.S. Attorney's Office violated his rights while trying to get a guilty plea from him.

Henry Mouton pleaded guilty to charges that he took $463,000 in payoffs in the River Birch landfill probe.  Mouton got the money from the landfill company owner's different businesses for his efforts to keep a rival landfill company shuttered.

While the owner of the company was not mentioned, Mouton's indictment did mention that he was touting River Birch.

Mouton's lawyers have asked U.S. Judge Martin Feldman to mandate that the government hand over reports dealing with online posting by two federal prosecutors.
